Even though I’m a girly girl, I love sports! I've worked for 4 different sports teams and freelanced for a sports radio station, have had NBA season tickets, and even tried out to be a Fox Sports Girl. I didn't get picked, but it was fun creating the video years ago. Here is a good ole #ThrowBackThursday post! CONTINUED... click below

I've been to Hawaii more times than I can count. Usually when I go for work, and actually get a layover (rare) we stay in Honolulu, near Waikiki beach. The hotel is decent (a lot of the hotels are just decent), but the location is phenomenal! There are luxury shops, department and discount stores. Any food you could ever want is close by... and most importantly the beach is less than a five minute walk away!
Often as a Flight Attendant we are alone on our layovers. The crew you worked with to a destination may not have the same layover, the same hotel, or the same desire to explore the city you are spending time in. Sometimes being alone can be tough, but Honolulu is one of the few places that I don't mind exploring by myself. I actually LOVE a Honolulu layover!!! I've compiled some of my Snap Chat stories from layovers in paradise, enjoy! For over 10 years my mom has made Goal/ Dream/ Vision boards and eventually my sister and I made them too. A dream board can be an actual board or wall filled with things that you want to bring to life. This could include goals you would like to accomplish, the way you would like to feel, words, photos… anything you need to motivate you to live out your dreams. The bible says, “Write the vision; make it plain…” Habakkuk 2:2. I always believed in writing out my vision, rather it’s for life on a dream board or daily when I write my to-do list on a calendar. I would always make long term goal boards, and if I didn’t accomplish everything or if life took a different turn I would often be left feeling like, “what’s next?” I’ve kept the boards, and though my life has definitely had some unexpected turns, I still hope and plan on accomplishing all those goals on my older boards. For 2018 I decided to give myself goals just for the year. I never loose sight of my big dreams but accomplishing those smaller goals will help build to the larger ones. October 1 I started my board for 2018 of some simple goals, and left Space so that as life happens this year I can add to it. Every time my mom’s friend came over with his kids ( I didn’t like them too much lol) I would make them extra spicy, in hopes that they wouldn’t want to eat them, of course they devoured anyway! My mom knew what I was up to, and she would always remind me to “not make them so hot this time.” Of course I didn’t listen lol! Fast forward to over 15 years later the only thing that has changed with this recipe is the amount of spicy heat. In an effort to make the world a better place I have decided to pass on the recipe for my Marvellous Hot Wings. They are made from sugar and spice and will leave you hungry for more! I've compiled all my photos and Snap Stories into one video. Enjoy! Love, Marvell
It is the middle of winter🙄, and I am craving some spring weather! I don’t know why Beijing is so cold, but at least it isn’t snowing! In the spirit of preying on Mother Spring I decided to play dress up in what I would be wearing if it was 40 degrees warmer lol.
(P.S. I’m not leaving my hotel with out putting on more clothes!) Location: Beijing China Top: Twinkle Bra: Victoria's Secret Pant: Boom Boom Jeans Shoe: Kendall + Kylie Bag: Steve Madden Jewelry: Tiffany & Co. Stay tuned for a vlog of my first visit to China! Love, Marvell Welcome to the Blog portion of my site, this has been a long time coming! For those who know me personally know I had a sports blog a few years ago. Over the years of working in sports I had the privilege of getting a behind the scenes pass to the field, then I decided I didn’t want to work in sports anymore but ended up becoming a Basketball Season Ticket holder which led to me blogging. (Though I no longer choose to write about those things I still have a few of my sports post up from years ago, for your viewing pleasure.)
Fast forward to now, I am not only a licensed Cosmetologist, a former Boutique Owner, Flight Attendant, and what I’d like to call a “Cheater Home Chef” (I take the easy way when it comes to cooking). My life has certainly taken a 360 degree turn in the last three years, and that has led me to the re-launching of my blog. This time it will contain everything that I love pertaining to: -Beauty- Product reviews, tutorials, show and tells -Fashion- Style tips, trends, budget friendly glam looks -Food- My favorite recipes, cheater tips, meal preps -Travel- My diary of work and personal trips, a look at what it takes to really be a Flight Attendant I get asked questions daily about my job, travel, business, beauty, and lifestyle; so I decided it is time to share. If you are new here, “Welcome!” If you’ve been rocking with me throughout the years “Thank you! For the support!” Either way, I hope you enjoy viewing my blog as much I am making these memories. Love, Marvell FIRST PRESEASON GAME OF 2012-13 NBA SEASON... GO HAWKS!!!
ANYBODY THAT KNOWS ME, KNOWS I AM TOO EXCITED ABOUT THE NEW SEASON. WE HAVE A WHOLE NEW TEAM AND IM FEELING GOOD ABOUT THE CHANGES. I had the pleasure to attend Josh Powell's Back to School Celebrity Bowling Tournament to support his 21 Reasons to Give Foundation. The event was held Friday July 27, 2012 at 300 Atlanta and was free entry plus bowling if you donated $10 worth of new school supplies. The school supplies went to the children attending Josh Powell's basketball camp this weekend. There was a very good turnout considering the event was not highly publicized. Ludacris and Chaka Zulu of DTP were in attendance, along with Lorenz Tate, Hurricane Kris, V.I.C. and Lil Chuckee of YMCB. Fellow NBA players Josh Howard, Marquis Daniels, and Jamal Crawford were also in attendance.
Overall I had a great time, made a few new acquaintances and even got a retweet from Josh Powell. Everyone was friendly and having a good time for the kids. Below are a few photos, to see more from the event log on to: http://exclusiveaccess.net/galleries/josh-powell-ludacris-lorenz-tate-and-more-at-21-reasons-bowling-challange-21-reasons-bowling-challange/attachment/img8220-m/ Josh Powell's twitter name is: @JP21Reasons Hawks Casino Night This weekend my mom and I attended the Atlanta Hawks Casino night for the second time. We are true Hawks fans and Season Tickets holders so once again it was cool to talk trash and play games against the players. This year the event was at Opera night club and seemed to have doubled in attendance from the year before. All of the players, coaches and personnel were in attendance. Atlanta Falcon's Ray Edwards was there to show his support as well as Tyler Perry's House of Payne star Demetria McKinney. My favorite of the night had to be Hawks Center Jason Collins on the Black Jack table. For some reason I was shocked to see the "Big Guy" had a ton of personality, he laughed and joked with the fans (think he may have even let me win a little) I didn't take any pics with Ray Edwards but he was a pleasure to play against as well! Below are photos and video footage Enjoy |
