I've been to Hawaii more times than I can count. Usually when I go for work, and actually get a layover (rare) we stay in Honolulu, near Waikiki beach. The hotel is decent (a lot of the hotels are just decent), but the location is phenomenal! There are luxury shops, department and discount stores. Any food you could ever want is close by... and most importantly the beach is less than a five minute walk away!
Often as a Flight Attendant we are alone on our layovers. The crew you worked with to a destination may not have the same layover, the same hotel, or the same desire to explore the city you are spending time in. Sometimes being alone can be tough, but Honolulu is one of the few places that I don't mind exploring by myself. I actually LOVE a Honolulu layover!!! I've compiled some of my Snap Chat stories from layovers in paradise, enjoy!

For over 10 years my mom has made Goal/ Dream/ Vision boards and eventually my sister and I made them too. A dream board can be an actual board or wall filled with things that you want to bring to life. This could include goals you would like to accomplish, the way you would like to feel, words, photos… anything you need to motivate you to live out your dreams. The bible says, “Write the vision; make it plain…” Habakkuk 2:2. I always believed in writing out my vision, rather it’s for life on a dream board or daily when I write my to-do list on a calendar. I would always make long term goal boards, and if I didn’t accomplish everything or if life took a different turn I would often be left feeling like, “what’s next?” I’ve kept the boards, and though my life has definitely had some unexpected turns, I still hope and plan on accomplishing all those goals on my older boards. For 2018 I decided to give myself goals just for the year. I never loose sight of my big dreams but accomplishing those smaller goals will help build to the larger ones. October 1 I started my board for 2018 of some simple goals, and left Space so that as life happens this year I can add to it. Every time my mom’s friend came over with his kids ( I didn’t like them too much lol) I would make them extra spicy, in hopes that they wouldn’t want to eat them, of course they devoured anyway! My mom knew what I was up to, and she would always remind me to “not make them so hot this time.” Of course I didn’t listen lol! Fast forward to over 15 years later the only thing that has changed with this recipe is the amount of spicy heat. In an effort to make the world a better place I have decided to pass on the recipe for my Marvellous Hot Wings. They are made from sugar and spice and will leave you hungry for more!
